Stock Marui MP5 SD5 AEG

The Marui MP5 SD5 is a good gun for medium range games. But I wanted THE perfect SD5, hence the mods.

Functional Mods

EG700 Motor

Systema HI-Speed upgrade

Match Inner barrel

Form Mods

Mosquito Molds MP5 aluminum frame

The Mosquite Molds metal receiver is warped. The front and back end does not close. I went and got a couple of clamps and clamped the two ends close. I then stuck the receiver in my car and on sunny days it warm up the receiver . This seem to worked, the warpage is less severe and I can acturally close the two halves together with screws.

KM aluminum suppressor

Initial Tests:

Braving the bitter wind I went to my backyard and chrono'ed the SD5. The gun shoots around 244FPS plus-minus 3FPS. I tried to do a ROF test but at 5 feet the bbs went through the cardboard box I was using as a BB trip, hidding the wall behind it and bouncing back at me. I'll try it again later with a better set-up.

Range Time (Pre-Mod):

Braving the bitter wind I went to my backyard and chrono'ed the SD5. The gun shoots around 244FPS plus-minus 3FPS. Chrono Reading:

244fps with .25g bb

Rate Of Fire:

The rate of fire is determined by loading 50 bbs in the magazine and time it takes to empty the magazine is then recorded. The data is then plugged into the formula:

50bbs/5second=Xbbs/60second where X is the ROF.

@ 600 bbs per minute

note; Hi cap Mags shoots around 23 bbs per wind
