And now, the long over due update...
Break your piggy bank, boys & girls, and get ready for the Western Arm's Shibuya Summer Special, The Striker!! This is a single stack 1911 with a full length picanini railed dust cover and a slab slide with protected adjustable sight. The tradeMark says it's a Wilson Combat, but it's real counter part, yea, you can get a real .45 shooting version of this baby, is made by Springfield Armory and it's call the "TRP Operator". Well, it's a WA so I'm sure it's a decent shooter and the rail on the dust cover mean you can mount a tac light on the pistol. It's a Shibuya Summer Special which means it's a limited Edition, and you know how much WA loves those LE guns" it rings in at 25,000 yen and should be available around 7/14.
I admit I really don't give equal time to KSC, the other GBB maker. Just because I bought their version 1 SOCOM Mk23 and didn't really like it should mean I don't talk about their products, I mean, their TMP is a really cool GBB sub-gun. anyway, this is the Titan. Basically the STI "edge" version of the WA Hi-Cap CQB. This pistol is what I wanted in an airsoft sidearm, the no nonsence line of the 1911 toped with the Novak 3 dot sight, beavertail grip safety for comfort and the 30 round HI-cap magazine for when things get hairy. I wanted one so much I took my WA Hi-Cap CQB and swaped the Slide with one from the WA Service grade CQB. If the Titan came out a month sooner I could have saved myself all that work to get my dream gun.
I'm getting sidetracked again, anyway, the Frame on the Titan is made of Titanium... get it? Titan...Titanium?
MSRP 19,000 yen available 6/15 which is now.
Now that every retailer and their brother has chopped down the barrel on the TM benilli M3 TM decided to joint the fun. The result is the not very impressive M3 shorty. You get the short barrel, been there done that, and a butt ugly pistol grip. Performance? same as the regular M3, innovation... not very but I'll forgive TM because they DID released the P90 dispite the doom soothers. MSRP 18,000 yen. If you haven't already bought the Den or Redwolf version you can now get the TM version.
Voodist recently did a review of the Marushin Mauser Broomhandel at bbgunland and this is pretty much the gist of it:
kindda lite at 700g, Kindda cheap with the matt black ABS plastic with mold seam showing, Holds 12 round per magazine, atleast it's detachable. Very powerful ... will go through bothsides of a coke can with .2g BBs. not a GBB so all of the gas goes to propell the BB down range. VERY heavy trigger pull, even in single action mode. Conclusion, only for the die hard Mauser broomhandle fan, German re-enactment people or people who are looking for a sniper rifle in a pistol package. Tanaka is rumored tobe in developemnt of a GBB broomhandle, I'll wait for that one.

INSANE ! ! The WA hi-cap series has always been my favorate due to it's weight and power, both FPS and recoil. Now WA is releasing the Pro Killer Mk2 machine pistol!!. That's right a FULL-AUTO 1911. It's not the first in real steel but it is the first in airsoft. The Pro Killer Mk 2 uses the Hi-Cap 3.9 slide and a long dust cover frame. It sports a long barrel that is Supressor ready and a sight block that serves as a barrel weight and a platform for picanini rails, optional. It comes with a 30 round magazine but a 50 round magazine will be available later. It boasts a 900 round rpm. If this thing kicks like the other hi-caps this gun will be insane to shoot. MSRP 228.00 yen due out June 16th. I gotta get me one.

For those of you who are still trying to figure out where to mount the front side of the sling here's the scoop. It would seem taht FN has a special sling that has a sling attachment point that mounts behinds the flash hider. Which means that you won't have to compromise proper sighting because the sling is in the way. It is not known if TM plan to make this sling or the sling mount. Come to think of it, I don't even know how this hi-tech sling goes on the P90. Is it quick release or does it require you to take off the flash hider to attach the front sling mount. But anyways, at least this answers the question where to mount the sling.

"So BillyBob,What's Up with this no news for a whole month thing? You don't care about airsoft anymore?" You ask?
Well... It's True. the bobster have been too busy taking care of Zachary the Thunder God and stuffing his brain with Chinese Medicine to thing about airsoft. My TM P90 have been sitting in the box without being lovingly caressed for over a week. (say it isn't so...)
but hey, with so many airsoft web sites sponcered by on-line retailers that gets the latest scoop that I figure my site is around just for my personal enjoyment.
Anyways, enough chit chat let go cap on Western Arms some more. =-) Don't get me wrong, I love the comapny. most of my GBBs are mae by WA. But they need to freshen up their product line up. Look at the gbb on the left. Take a Beretta M84, slap on some Novak sight, cut some cocking grooves on the front of the slide, Drop in a chrome outer barrel and you got the M84 Tactical. A sharp looking GBB but do we really need a tac pistol in .380? New the Championship Special, basically an updated vdrsion of the OPtical Master that came out when the HI-Cap series was ... NEW! The concept is to build a race gun that will use red dot sights as the primary sighting systrem. so the rear sight has been replaced with a cocking handle and comes standard with a scope mount. The Championship Special comes Loaded to the gill with tune-up parts. It sports a longer bbl than the Optical Master and the lines are more sexy than the Optical Master. At 26,000 yen it ain't cheep but race guns usually isn't. Now here's an impressive GBB.

Yep! That me
hanging out With Ronin in Guarders at Xi Men Ding in Taipei Taiwan.
I snuck away from the wife and kids to meet Ronin and to check
out the famous Guarders Retail store. This is the same Guarders
that made the M4 2 piece barrels, assorted flash hiders, Suppressers,
MP5 Hand guards and Tac Gears such as the SEAL bullet-proof vest.
First I chat with Ronin on the big leather couch inside Guarders
where the regulars hang out. We compared notes on the playing
style of the US players and Taiwan Players. And then I got to
see a proto-type of the SOCOM suppresser that was released earlier
this month. I hung out at the store for over an hour and got a
feel for the place. I talked to the owner and his business philosophy
is modularity. For example the HK94 long barrels they sell, you
can screw it on to a MP5 that has the 14mm R thread and cosmetically
you have a HK94, Don't like the flash hider it came with? why
not switch to a dragonov style flash hider. Barrel too long? Take
the extended external barrel off and screw on a botex style flash
hider. All of the muzzle accessories made by Guarders share the
same 14mmR hand thread so everything is interchangeable. Now why
didn't they just do that in the first place?
Anyway, Guarders is a great place to go hang out if you are ever
in Taipei Taiwan. Good Store, great people, win win situation
all around.
